Most Interesting Huck Finn Project

I was in a group with Lauren, Kenzie, and Chris. I think that the most interesting project was Kenzie's collage. Her collage was filled with different things about the book and it was very creative. She had a least  5 popups including Emily's easel which was very interesting and i would have never thought to put that  on my test.

Perfect - Pretty Little Liars

Flawless

The book Flawless by Sarah Shepard is a sequal to the book Pretty Little Liars. The book Is about four girls that lost their friend, Allison 3 years ago, and recently they have been getting text messages from someone named A, about secrets they only shared with their dead friend Allison. Throughout the book they try and figure our who A really is and they think it might be a boy named toby, and he may alson be the one who murdered Allison.

In the book flawless their were many strengths in the book. One of the main strengths in the book was that it kept you in suspense, keeping you reading wondering what was going to happen next. The book had many cliffhangers at the end of each chapter, which had you reading chapter after chapter. The book also went well off the 1st book of the series, so you weren't confused in the beginning of the story  and even if you didn't read the first book you could still read flawless without being confused. Lastly the book was written very well, and you were easily able to connect with the character and feel what each girl was feeling.

The book had very little weaknesses to it, one of the weaknesses was that the the book jumped from one character to the next at each chapter making. This made the book confusing at certain points. The book also didn't have as much suspense as the first book pretty little liars which was disappointing. Lastly at points the book was inappropriate, and i think if they took out some of the bad parts a wider range of people would be able to read the books.

I think that a teenager from the age of 14 - 17 that enjoy realistic fictions. Think that this age group would like flawless because the girls in the book are around the same age and they could  relate to the girls in the book. I also thing that this book may be a little too inappropriate for anyone younger than 14. I also think the flawless may be too immature for someone over 17, and the book may be to easy to read for a 20 year old. They would also need to enjoy realistic fictions because that is what type of book it is.

Worst Christmas Present

Worst Christmas Present

I waited at the top of the steps with my two brothers, Wilson and Charlie. Asking
every two seconds, “Can we come down now!?” and got turned down every time.

Finally we got the reply we wanted, my mom yelled, “ You can come down
now!”
We all raced down the stairs pushing each other trying to get to the tree first.
Once we made it down my brothers and I stared in amazement at the lit-up tree and
the pile of presents around it. Then we all sat around the tree wanting to open up our presents. This year my dad was Santa, and he decided to go from youngest to oldest. My younger brother, Charlie opened up his first present, which was a remote controlled car. We all oooed and ahhhed, then finally I got to open up mine. My dad handed me the small gift from my grandma Susu and quickly I opened it.

“Socks!” I said as I opened the gift.

“Awww, that was so nice of her!” my mom said, of coarse

“Yeahhhhh” I said trying to sound happy as I stared at the multi colored knee

socks.

Pretty Little Liars

The Book, Pretty Little liars By: Sara Shepard, was about 4 girls that used to be friends, but once Allison, one of the friend suddenly disappeared they spit apart. Three years later, the girls started to get text messages from someone named A, about their secrets that they have only shared with Allison. They soon wonder if Allison is back or if she shared their secrets with someone else.

This book was good because it kept you wanting to keep reading. Usually while I read book I get bored with then and et sick of reading it, but not with this book. It was fill with cliff hangers that made you want to keep reading. The book was also written very well, helping you connect with the character and understand how he/she is feeling.

This book was bad because at some points it was a little inappropriate. Their was too much sexual content in the book, it would have been better if they left it out making it available for a wider range age groups. At times the book was also too descriptive, making you want to skip through parts of great detail. Overall I thought the book had more good qualities rather than bad qualities.

I think that teenage girls (14 up) would enjoy this book. I think this book is best for a teenage girl because they would relate to the characters better, and they story would be more interesting for them. I think it is also best that a 10 year old didn’t read this book because at some points it can be inappropriate. This book would also be good for someone who likes realistic fiction.
